Kofi Annan to visit Iran in the coming days
Tehran- Iran foreign minister Ali Akbar Salehi said Arab-UN special envoy to end Syria crisis, Kofi Annan, will visit Tehran on Monday or Tuesday next week to discuss Syria crisis with Iranian leaders.

Calling for more patience over Syria crisis, Salehi told reporters on Thursday that there are peaceful ways to put an end to the crisis in Syria.

“we are hopeful about solving Syria crisis and we believe with the help of Turkey, the UN and the Arab countries in the region solving the problem is not too far away,” Salehi added.

He didn’t shed light on Annan plans in his visit to Iran and didn’t mention which officials he would meet in Tehran.

In an effort to solving Syria crisis, Annan has already traveled to Turkey and Syria and even met president Bashar al-Assad in Damascus.
