Kurds want permanent U.S. base in Kurdistan Region: magazine
Kurds want the United States to remain besides them to finish their quest for independence from Iraq and, therefore, have demanded for a permanent U.S. base in the autonomous region in the north of Iraq.

According to Philadelphia Inquirer the U.S. assisted Kurds in halting Islamic State (IS) advance towards Erbil, the capital of the region, and forcing the terrorist group from their territories.

Now the Kurds demand a permanent U.S. base in their soil and want the White House to support them to split from Baghdad.

The magazine also added that Kurds need to negotiate with Baghdad to become independent and want the U.S. to broker in the talks.
