Iran and Iraq to double oil cooperation
Baghdad- Iranian oil Minister Rustam Qasemi and his Iraqi counterpart Abdul Hakim al-Luaibi discussed on Sunday the ways to double oil cooperation between the two sides.

Al- Luaibi welcomed the Iranian Minister in his office in Baghdad and talked about ways to increase cooperation in all fields, Iraq’s oil Ministry said in a statement.

The Iranian Qasemi had earlier met Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Saturday and discussed mutual cooperation between the two countries in oil and gas fields, AIN News Agency reported.

Maliki received Qasemi and his accompanying delegation in Baghdad on Saturday and stressed the necessity of consolidation the cooperation between the two countries in oil and gas fields, a Maliki office statement said.

Maliki and Luaibi asked Iranian companies to participate in Iraq’s oil investment projects.
