Iraqi leaders stress on withdrawing confidence from PM
Arbil- Rivals of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki stressed on withdrawing trust vote from Maliki at the end of Sunday Arbil meeting two days after Iraqi president Jalal Talabani announced MPs signature against Maliki are less than enough (163) to send letter to parliament to vote Maliki out of office.

Kurdistan Region’s president Massoud Barzani, main opposition Iraqiya List Leader Iyad Allawi, Sadr Movement Muqtada al-Sadr and Parliament Speaker Osama al-Nujaifi stressed in a statement released after their fourth gathering held in Arbil that they are firm on unseating Maliki.

“After our six-point reform plan was declined by Maliki we are determined to withdraw confidence from him and replace him by another member of National Alliance,” the statement said.

The leaders emphasized on sticking to the constitution and rules, Xendan website reported.

They further concluded to send a letter to Talabani to assure him of the validity of signatures that are “enough to unseat Maliki.”
