71 arrested in for links to KCK organization
Ankara- An Ankara court on Monday issued arrest warrants for 71 people, including Confederation of Public Sector Trade Unions (KESK) head Lami Ozgen, for alleged links to the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK).

The arrest warrants were mainly issued for members of KESK and the Education Personnel Union. Police units raided several locations in Ankara and Diyarbakir provinces and detained several suspects, Zaman daily said.

The investigation into the KCK, which prosecutors claim is an umbrella organization for the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), started in December 2009.

A large number of suspected KCK members, including several mayors from the Pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), have been detained, most of them still undecided.

The BDP accuses Turkey government of oppressing its members and says the raids are against its members to stop political activities.
