Jalili arrives in Damascus after visit to Lebanon
Damascus- The Islamic Republic of Iran’s secretary of the supreme National Security Council arrived in Damascus on Tuesday morning after his meeting with Lebanese officials.

Heading a high- ranking delegation, Saeed Jalili, upon arrival, was received by Syrian officials including Deputy Foreign Minister, Ahmad Arnous, head of the National Security Bureau, Ali Mamlook, and Iran’s Ambassador to Damascus Muhammad Raouf Sheibani, IRNA reported.

During his day-long meeting with Syrian senior officials, Jalili is due to discuss bilateral relations and latest regional developments with Syrian senior officials including President Bashar al- Assad and Foreign Minister Walid al- Muallem.

This is Jalili’s first visit to Damascus after his travel to the country in early 2010.

Before visiting Syria, he meet some Lebanese officials among them President Michael Sulaiman, Prime Minister Najib Miqati and the parliament speaker Nabieh Bari in Beirut.

The Iranian official discussed ways to boost bilateral relations and the latest regional developments with Beirut officials.
