Masoud Barzani, Hadi al-Ameri discuss Iraq election result

Masoud Barzani, the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Hadi al-Ameri, the leader of Fath Coalition, discussed in a phone call the result of Iraq May 12 parliamentary elections.

The KDP won most of the votes in Kurdistan Region and Fath Coalition won the second place after Muqtada Sadr’s Saeron Coalition.

Ameri’s office said in a statement that the two leading officials discussed the result of the polls and called for the formation of Iraq’s government in order to fulfill people demands.

It is worth mentioning that Barzani had a phone call with Sadr and congratulated him on the victory of his coalition.
