Erbil, Baghdad discussing Kirkuk oil export

Baghdad is negotiating with Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan Region, as US sanction against Iran have been put into action, an Iraqi parliament deputy said.

Tariq Gardi, also a member of oil and gas commission in the third Iraqi parliament, told SNN news base that the Iraqi central government is in talk with the Kurdish region in order to convince Erbil to allow Kirkuk province oil to be exported to Turkey through Kurdistan Region oil pipe to Turkey.
Gardi added that Kirkuk oil export will be halted, no oil can be exported through Iran and no Tehran-Baghdad oil and gas deal can be conducted after Washington sanctions on Tehran.
The deputy reiterated that the oil pipe of the region is the only way for Baghdad to export Kirkuk's oil.
