PKK should operate in Turkey Kurdistan, not in Iraqi Kurdistan: official

The head of the Public Relations Office of the Syrian Kurdistan Future Party blamed the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) for operating in the Kurdistan Region and stated that the party should operate in Turkey Kurdistan.

"The PKK is giving excuse to Turkey to invade the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, just as it gave the Turkish army an excuse to invade and occupy Kurdish areas in Syrian Kurdistan," Fadi Marei told KurdPress in interview.
Marie, the head of the Public Relations Office of the Syrian Kurdistan Future Party and a member of the Kurdish National Council (ENKS), referred to the differences between the PKK and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP): "The PKK's interference in the Kurdistan Region does not serve Kurds and the PKK wants to destroy the achievements of the Kurds in the Kurdish region."
He continued: "Just as the PKK gave the Turkish army an excuse to invade and occupy Kurdish areas in Syrian Kurdistan, it is giving the same excuse to Turkey to invade the Iraqi Kurdistan region."
He concluded that: "The PKK must return to Turkey Kurdistan. The Kurdistan Region is not the place that the PKK should operate there and it must leave these areas."
