Dander of Covid 19 is serious in Syrian Kurdistan, says health official

19,231 cases of the Coronavirus have already been reported in the North and East Syrian Autonomous Administration, of which 770 have reportedly been died and 1,920 have been recovered.

Jiwan Mustafa, the head of the health department of the self-ruling region said on Satruday, August 21, that the threat of the virus is serious at the moment and that there is no need to lift the Coronavirus restrictions.

Last Thursday, the health department of the administration announced 64 new cases of the Coronavirus in the region.

In a statement to the media, Mustafa said that the number of people infected with the virus is currently not increasing.

The head of the health organization noted that the number of patients is not small, but they have not reached a dangerous stage that requires more severe measures.

According to the health authorities of the self-ruling region, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the region has arrived 19,231, of which 770 have died and 1,920 have been recovered.
