US must mediate between Turkey and Syrian Kurdish forces: think tank

The Atlantic Council think tank has stressed that the US needs to change its policy in Syria and work to resolve tensions between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Turkish government.

In an article, the Atlantic Council think tank stressed the US needs to change and reconsider ita policy in Syria, especially after leaving Afghanistan.

The think tank called on the United States to work to mediate between Turkey and the Syrian Democratic Forces so that recent tensions and clashes, including Turkish drone strikes, do not escalate and the situation in northeastern Syria spirals out of control.

The think tank also called on the United States not to support Kurdish unilateralism in northern Syria, and called on Washington to try to get more Arabs in northeastern Syria, including in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, in the Kurdish administration in northeastern Syria.
