Turkey uses internal disputes among Iraqi Kurds to confront PKK

Al-Bawaba news website warned in a report that Turkey is using internal divisions within Kurdish parties in the Iraqi Kurdistan to strike at the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Iraq.

"Turkey seeks to achieve political, economic and military goals in Iraq under the pretext of confronting the forces of the Turkey Kurdistan Workers' Party," al-Bawaba wrote in an analysis about Turkey military incursions into Iraq under the pretext of confronting the PKK.

The report added that Turkey is increasing pressure on Iraqi Kurdish leaders to join it in the fight against the PKK.

"Turkey has also used this issue to strike at the PKK," it said, referring to internal divisions within Iraqi Kurdish parties.

Al-Bawaba warns that Turkey has defined many political, military and economic interests in Iraq, so it will continue his adventure in this country.
