Syria Kurdistan delegation will travel to Washington after Moscow: official

A member of the delegation of the North and East Syrian Autonomous Administration in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region stated that the visit of the delegation to Moscow and Washington sends a message to the international community that only two forces, the administration and the Syrian central government, will resolve the Syrian political crisis.

In an interview with KurdPress, Fathullah Husseini, a member of the delegation of the North and East Syrian Autonomous Administration in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, referred to the joint visit of the delegation of the administration and the Syrian Democratic Council to Moscow, and stated: "They would meet with Russian Foreign Ministry officials, and after two days they would travel to the United States, where they have several plans."

He continued: "This visit comes at a time that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had a meeting with Vladimir Putin, two days ago, and therefore the visit of the delegation to Moscow is also important."

"These trips and meetings show that the message the United States and Russia are sending to the international community is that the Syrian political crisis will be resolved by two forces, the autonomous administration and the Syrian central government," the Kurdish official further told the news agency.

"Both countries have formally invited the autonomous administration's delegation to visit these countries. The Syrian crisis has become a long-standing issue, and it is time for the great powers to find a final solution to it," Mr. Husseini added.
