Zebari: KDP will return to disputed areas without Peshmerga forces
Hoshyar Zebari, a senior member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), stressed that Peshmerga forces will not return to Kirkuk province and other disputed areas between Erbil and Baghdad.

However, according to the agreement reached with the central government, the party's offices in the mentioned areas will be reopened with the aim of participating in the parliamentary elections on October 10, the KDP official said.
Zebari wrote in a post on his Facebook account that "Currently, there are no plans for the return of Peshmerga forces to Kirkuk and the disputed areas."
The senior KDP member added: "According to the agreements reached between the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, the KDP  candidates will return to the disputed areas and leave the party offices to start the election campaign according to the election law to guarantee the freedom and activity of all candidates in all provinces."
"They will operate without obstacles or provocations, and we hope that everyone will abide by the election law so that free, healthy and fair elections can be held," Zebari further noted.
Iraq parliamentary elections will be held across the country on October 10.
