Kurds' success in Baghdad would benefit Syrian Kurds: official

A member of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (KDPS) stated the success of the Kurds in the Iraqi parliamentary elections affects the position of the Kurds in Syria.

Referring to the impact of the Iraqi parliamentary elections on the situation of the Kurds, Rezan Nassan, a member of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (KDPS), told Kurdpress that Iraq and the Kurdistan Region can ensure the rights of both parties.

He continued: "As long as the tools of democracy are provided, living conditions will be better and Iraq must move within the same framework."

Mr. Nassan added: "Iraqi [2021 parliament] elections have been successful and the issue of the health of the elections has received more attention than before, and the Kurds have won the seats they needed."
