According to Al-Sumaria News, Masrour Barzani's office issued a statement, saying that: "The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region met with Brett McCurg in the Bahraini capital Manama to discuss the latest developments in the region, the general situation in Iraq after the recent parliamentary elections, and ways to strengthen relations between the two sides."
The two also changed views over ties between the Kurdistan region and the United States.
