Qubad Talabani, Ammar al-Hakim emphasize on the need to speed up government formation talks

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region and the leader of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement stressed in a Sunday meeting on the need to speed up talks for forming the new Iraqi government.

According to the Awina news website, the latest political and security developments in Iraq were discussed during the meeting between Qubad Talabani, a senior member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Leadership Council, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, and Ammar Hakim, leader of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement.
The two also stressed on the need to expand relations between the sides in order to preserve and realize the public interests. Talabani and Hakim also called for the role of all parties in accelerating negotiations to form a new Iraqi government to protect the country's interests.
