Heavy snowfall blankets Kurdish regions of Iran

Heavy snowfall blanketed the cities in Kurdish regions of Iran, in the west and northwest.

The fall started late on Sunday and is continuing as late Monday.
The fall brought huge welcome to the cities and villages of the Kurdish region as people rushed to streets and parks to celebrate the fall.
The snowfall is the heaviest in years and blocked roads between cities and has cut access to many villages.
It also broke many trees in different parts of the Kurdish provinces of Kurdistan, Western Azerbaijan, Kermanshah and Ilam.
Offices and schools as well as universities are off on Tuesday in many cities and villages in the Kurdish regions.
