Erdogan held a closed-door meeting with Halbousi and Khanjar at the Vahdettin Mansion in Istanbul, along with the head of Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization, Hakan Fidan, according to Anadolu.

Halbousi and Erdogan discussed cooperation in security and the facilitation of visas for Iraqis, according to Iraqi state media.

Both sides also spoke on the exchange of security and intelligence, economic and commercial relations, and Iraq’s anti-terror support, according to Iraqi News Agency (INA).
