PKK Foreign Relations Committee member says Turkey is trying to reach Shingal by digging a tunnel through Duhok
A member of the PKK's foreign relations committee claimed that Turkey was digging tunnels to gain access to Shingal, a city in northern Iraq.

Zorbar Tulhildan, a member of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) Foreign Relations Committee, claimed that Turkey was trying to reach Shingal by digging a tunnel through Duhok city in the province of Duhok.

"The Turkish army is digging a tunnel to reach Mount Shingal through Duhok," Tulhildan told Al-Youm news agency.

The PKK foreign relations committee member said that the Turkish government had long been preparing to attack Shingal, claiming that Turkey was seeking to occupy from Duhok to Ninawa province in northern Iraq.
