US green light allows Turkey to attack Syrian Kurdistan: party official

A member of the political school of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party (Al-Parti) said: "Turkey is attacking Syrian Kurdistan with the US green light, and after Ain Issa, it is Kobani's turn."

Kobani and Ain Issa are two Kurdish cities in northern Syria. The latter is already under the control of Turkey-affiliated Syrian rebels.

"The situation of Ain Issa is dangerous, and this is after the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) did not reach an agreement," Hussein Masto, a member of the political bureau of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party (Al-Parti), told KurdPress in an interview, about the refusal of the Kurdish forces to hand over the control of the city to the Syrian army.

He continued: "These attacks are not possible without a green light of the United States on Turkey to send the jihadist forces under his command to Ain Isa, and there is probably a project in this regard that Ain Isa will be delivered to Turkey."

He added: "After Isa, it is Kobani's turn and this is a scenario for Syrian Kurdistan to be occupied by the Turkish government and jihadist groups."

Hussein Masto further said: "In a situation where all groups are mobilized against the Kurds, the Kurds need to agree on unity and confront the danger with the presence of all independent parties and groups."
