Envoy says trade between Iran and Iraq to reach $9 billion

The Iranian Ambassador in Baghdad, Iraj Masjidi, said on Tuesday, March 15, the value of international trade between Iraq and Iraq will reach $9 billion by March 22, 2022.

Masjidi said an important part of Iraq's needs are provided by Iran and the international trade between the two countries will reach $9 billion by the end of the Iranian calendar.
The new Iranian year will start on March 22.
He also mentioned exports include products such as food and other goods, besides energy sources.
The Russian-Ukrainian war has now had a significant impact on Iraq's economy and Iran is prepared for further cooperation with Iraq to overcome the obstacles, Masjidi said.
