Parliamentary poll only solution to current crisis in Iraq: official
The legal adviser to the Kurdistan Parliament stressed that the only solution to the current crisis in Iraq is to hold parliamentary elections again.

"There has been no contact between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) to participate in the Iraqi parliament meeting with a single candidate for the Iraqi presidency," Lawand Jalal told Nas News.
The point is that the KDP has already entered into a tripartite agreement with the Sadr and Al-Azm movements and insists on holding the presidency of Iraq, which is the right of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).
Jalal stressed that all political movements and the Iraqi Constitutional Court will eventually come to believe that holding another parliamentary election is the only solution to the current crisis in the country.
