Iraqi Kurdish soldier killed in ISIS attack in Makhmour

An Iraqi soldier was killed in an Islamic State (ISIS) group ambush in the Makhmour district of Erbil Province on Sunday, April 25, NRT reported.

According to the report the soldier, Jumaa Omar Mohammed, was of Kurdish nationality from Akre district, Duhok Province.

Mohammed was killed in the ambush on Sunday night around 21:00 (local time).

The report added that Mohammed left his wife and had two children behind.

ISIS carries out sporadic attacks, especially in disputed territories, targeting civilian and military targets.
