He cited the political, economic and security situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region as the main topics of the meeting with the Iraqi Prime Minister, noting that the two sides stressed on boosting efforts to resolve issues and crises in the country, especially the issue of monthly salaries of the Kurdistan Region's employees.
Sheikh Jangi stated about the rulings of the Iraqi Federal Court regarding the Kurdistan Region's oil that "we called for the rulings to be fair and based on the interests of the citizens."
The former co-chair of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan concluded: "We also called for a joint effort by the Iraqi central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to reach an understanding through genuine dialogue aimed at resolving problems, because if the rulings are implemented unilaterally, the problems will become more complicated and there will be more security, political and economic tensions.
