Turkish airstrikes bombard villages in Akre district

Turkish airstrikes hit Gurava and Birezhgi villages in Akre district causing the villagers’ fields to catch fire on Wednesday, July 6.

According to NRT the airstrikes occurred this morning, targeting several areas in the two villages.
Zebari said the airstrikes were launched under the pretext of hitting a Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) headquarters in the area.
The report also said so far there have been no victims reported due to the airstrikes.
On Tuesday, a Turkish drone attacked Shahid Rostam Judi refugee camp in Makhmour, Erbil province, with no casualties reported.
The report added that the drones targeted one of the tents in the camp, causing damage to some of the tents.
