Party interventions should be prevented for Peshmerga unity and integrity: Nechivan Barzani
The Kurdistan Region president stated for the reforms and unity of the Peshmerga forces of the region, it is necessary for the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) to officially and regretlessly declare that they will not interfere in the affairs of the Peshmerga.

According to Khalk website, Kurdistan Regional President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed on Wednesday Marshal Sammy Sampson, British Senior Defense Adviser on Middle Eastern and North African Affairs, and the accompanying delegation. According to the media center of the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, in this meeting of relations between the UK and the region and Iraq, the latest political developments in Iraq, the threat of terrorism and ISIS developments, as well as the reform process in the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs and relations between Erbil and Baghdad, were discussed.
Nechirvan Barzani thanked Britain for the role it played in dealing with ISIS and asked Britain to cooperate with the United Nations in eliminating the threat of terrorism and the victory of reforms and the unity of the Peshmerga force.
The Kurdistan Region President ultimately pointed out that the reform and unity of the Peshmerga requires the non-interference of the two parties of the KDP and PUK in the affairs of the Peshmerga, otherwise, despite all the political problems, all the efforts made in this regard will be fruitless.
