A senior member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK0 emphasized that Turkish forces continue to expand their influence in large areas in the Kurdistan Region.

In an interview with Al-Malomeh news agency, Ghiyas Sorchi stated that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is still working to revive the Ottoman Empire, which is against neighboring countries such as Iraq and Syria, and added: "Turkish forces continue to advance in the regions. They continue to spread their presence widely in the Kurdistan region."

Sorchi added: "Despite international condemnations and requests from Erdogan to respect the UN resolutions and charter and respect the principles of good neighborliness, he continues his expansionist policy under the pretext of fighting terrorism."

While pointing out that Turkey continues to expand its military and field influence in various areas of northern Iraq, he added: This country has caused the displacement of the people of those areas and the evacuation of its residents by continuing the aerial bombardment of the villages in northern Iraq.
