PUK welcomes presence of Iraqi army in Kurdistan Region borders -Asharq al-Awsat

Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper announced in its new issue that the redeployment of the security forces of the Iraqi government on the borders of Iran and Turkey will prevent these two countries from attacking Iraq again, and this issue was welcomed by Iraqi Kurds and especially by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

According to Sharperss, Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat mentioned the issue in a report and wrote: This issue (deployment of Iraqi government forces on the borders of the Kurdish region) was approved at the meeting of the Council of Ministers for the National Security of Iraq, which was attended by the commander of the Peshmerga forces.

In the meeting of the Council of Ministers to maintain the national security of Iraq, four resolutions were approved, which are:

1- The deployment of Iraqi army forces in the borders

2- Providing logistical support for these forces

3- Iraqi Ministry of Interior would station the border forces

4- Strengthening the border checkpoints and coordinating with the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Ministry of Peshmerga to implement this matter
