Baghdad to send 400 billion dinars to Kurdistan Region: Minister
The Federal government will send 400 billion Iraqi dinars ($274 million) to the Kurdistan Region for the months of November and December, a Kurdish official said.

Nzar Amedi, Iraq’s Minister of Environment told Esta Media Network that the Iraqi council of ministers has decided to send the money to the Region.

The decision was followed by a series of attempts made by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), within the negotiations that took place in the frame of the formation of the new Iraqi cabinet back in October, the Minister said.

The Federal government has allocated the 400 billion as the Region share in the Federal budget to pay salaries of public servants in the Kurdistan Region.

The new Iraqi cabinet took office in late October, ending more than a year of political deadlock since a parliamentary election.
