A PUK, KDP meeting to be held in 10 ten days: official

A member of the political office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) announced a meeting is going to be held between the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan before the new year, stating that: "This is the will of the people because the differences between these two parties have had a negative impact on people's lives."

According to Basnews, Saadi Ahmed Pira said about the meeting that is going to be held soon with the aim of eliminating the tensions between the two sides: " there are 10 days left until the end of this year. A meeting between the two parties is supposed to be held during this period, because this is the wish of the people and our friends, so that everyone can return to their jobs."

"The time and place of the meeting and the organizing committee of the meeting are not yet known, but what is known is the moderation of the tough reactions between the two sides. On the other hand, they are to stop the media war, we hope that the media will cooperate in carrying out this process, because the existing tensions between the two parties have greatly affected the market and people's daily lives," Ahmed Pira said about the time and place of the meeting and those who may be present at the meeting.

At the same time, Mr. Pira said about the change of the PUK officials and the return of the PUK team to the government meetings: "Those who are working will remain in their positions, and those who need to change their positions. We will change their post."

This member of the political office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan pointed out that if there are shortcomings in the previous agreement between the two parties or its validity has expired, it is important that the parties draw up a new agreement and sign it. "Both sides should adhere to it and solve people's problems."
