Aldar Khalil says MIT chief has visited Damascus, Kurdish talks have been halted

Aldar Khalil, a member of the Co-Presidency Body of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) stated in an interview with Ozgur Politika newspaper on Monday, January 12, that the chief of Turkey Intelligence Organization (MIT) has made a visit to Damascus to make cooperation with Syrian government over conducting an attack on the Kurdish self-ruling system in Syria Kurdistan.

"Turkey wants to create a big and expanded country and that is why it is attempting to occupy all parts of Syrian Kurdistan, but Turkey problems with the whole world and its economic crisis does not allow it to conduct its attacks in its most powerful way," Khalil further said.

He further reiterated in the interview that Turkey will not stop planning to occupy Syria Kurdistan and will continue its efforts and is seeking support from everywhere, including Damascus, to destroy the self-ruling Kurdish administration in Syrian Kurdistan.

The Kurdish official stressed that after Turkey attacks and occupies any region in Syrian Kurdistan, it starts to torture people and make them leave their homeland so that the demography of the regions will be changed as well as the culture and history of the regions and then Turkey will try to replace its own language, history and culture.

Aldar Khalil further asked the people in north and eastern Syria to be aware that Turkey will do everything to show its animosity and that is why no one should expect Ankara to take any good step in the regions.

The Kurdish official also revealed that Kurdish-Kurdish talks between the PYD and the ENKD have been halted as there is no US envoy in the talks, adding that steps have been taken in order for the two sides to make deals

The PYD official further blamed the ENKS for attempting to take posts in the self-ruling administration without there be an election, adding that there are also some other unresolved issues including Roj Peshmerga return to Syrian Kurdistan.

Khalil claimed that the Kurdish forces have been turned into villains by Turkey as they are being used in Shingal and Qandil as Turkey president Recep Tayyip Erdogan uses other villains in Azerbaijan and Libya, adding that "the people who have been turned into villains could not become good people and that is why we cannot accept this (the return of Roj Peshmerga to Syria Kurdistan). It is not true to for the people who have made crimes to conduct military service in Rojava."
