Turkish army resumes attacks on Gare Mount in Iraqi Kurdistan

Turkish military fighters once again attacked the heights of Gare Mount in the province of Dohuk in Kurdistan Region.

Monday afternoon, February 15, Turkish army fighters heavily bombarded two areas of Gare Mountain in Duhok province of Kurdistan Region, where PKK militants are stationed, Sharpress news web site reported.

The attack targeted Zandak sea area near the village of Akmali on the Gare slope and the Mersida area on the Yakhir hill.

In recent days, there have been intense clashes between Turkey and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the region, with the Turkish military announced the end of operations in Gare on Sunday.
