We must create a way to fight for peace: HDP co-chair

The government is pursuing a policy of bipolarity, war and tension to maintain its existence and we must find a way for making peace in Turkey, People's Democratic Party (HDP) co-chairman Mithat Sancar told members of the Left Party.

The HDP Co-chair and his entourage met with the Left Party (SOL) to stress the need for a joint struggle for peace in Turkey.

The HDP delegation and Sancar met with the Left Party as part of the justice campaign for all. "The goal of unity is not for elections, but for unity to build democracy we must be able to find a common way to change the politics of war for peace," Sancar said during the meeting.

"We must all defend the truth against lies," Sancar said, noting that the government always uses lies as the main source of its war policies. In particular, war policies affect all other areas. At a time when poverty and unemployment are at their peak, I see that there is a direct link between the policies of war and poverty, and the transfer of the country's resources to the supporters of the government. Our approach in this regard is quite clear."

It is worth mentioning that Turkish parties are preparing for possible early elections with meetings. The HDP also had meetings with the Alawite community and smaller Turkish parties by launching a campaign for everyone (Herkes İcin Adalet).
