He further added that "Because the security vacuum between the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi forces allows the free movement of ISIS elements in the region and it threatens the security of the region's."
Commander Barzani added: "ISIS is very active and, based on the obtained military information, the terrorist organization is trying to carry out more operations and we can use night vision cameras to monitor the movements of armed people."
The senior commander of the Peshmerga forces also stated: "The operation of the international coalition in the last two weeks has led to the weakening of the terrorist organization of ISIS. However, this terrorist group has returned and resumed its activities in all areas."
Sirvan Barzani emphasized that "the number of ISIS armed elements has also increased and they are trying to rebuild their organization and return to their shelters that have already been bombed.
Meanwhile Major General Qareman Sheikh Kamal, Deputy Chief of Operations of the Peshmerga Ministry, stated in this regard that "in a meeting held last Sunday between Prime Minister Mustafa Kazemi and the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Peshmerga, a request was made to establish four joint operations rooms, and we hope that in a near future the process of forming these rooms is done.
