    MetroPoll survey shows decline in ruling AKP’s electoral support

    A survey conducted by the Ankara-based MetroPoll showed a decline in nationwide support for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in November, local media reported on Friday, citing a column by journalist Ismail Saymaz on the Halk TV news website.

    ECtHR says Turkey arrested pro-Kurdish politicians to stifle pluralism

    The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) on Tuesday ruled that Turkey had violated the rights of 13 former lawmakers from the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) by putting them in pretrial detention to stifle pluralism and to limit freedom of political debate, ordering the release of two of them who are still in jail.
