Mohammed Saehud, an MP from the State of Law Coalition in the Iraqi parliament, said the party held a meeting on Sunday and decided Maliki has all the characteristics to be Iraq’s prime minister.
Mohammed said during the meeting the latest political developments were also discussed.
The Iraqi parliament has failed to form a new government nine months after the 2021 October election due to political disputes between the blocs.
