KDP delegation meets Iraqi President Nathan Salih

Iraqi President Barham Salih met with a delegation of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) officials on Sunday, November 7, to discuss the government formation process.

During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of strengthening national unity in order to promote peace and security and serve the people, according to a statement released by Salih’s office, NRT reported.
They agreed on the importance of uniting views between the political forces in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq in order to form a "national government.”
The KDP delegation was led by the party's leading official Hoshyar Zebari.
Salih is a senior member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).
