Iran hits headquarters of Kurdish opposition groups on the border with Iraqi Kurdistan

Iran IRGC has targeted the location of the armed elements of the opposition groups in Sidakan and Chuman in the areas adjacent to the border of Haj Imran (Piranshahr).

According to Rudaw the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted the positions of Kurdish opposition armed groups in the border areas of Sidakan and Balkayeti in the Kurdistan Region, causing no casualties to civilians.

Attacks by Revolutionary Guards were carried out by military drones and artillery attacks, and Soran Governor Halgord Najib told the television network that no civilian casualties were reported as a result of the attacks.

According to the report, the attacks were carried out with military drones and artillery, and targeted the location of armed elements of opposition groups in Sidakan and Chuman.

Esta Media Network reporter said the villages of Bolash, Born and Alana in Sidakan and Balakayati areas were targeted in the bombardment.

On Monday, commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force Mohammad Pakpour warned people of the Kurdistan Region to stay away from bases used by the Kurdish opposition parties on the border with Iran.

“Iraq and the officials of the northern region of this country have been given the necessary warnings,” he said.

Iran has in the past shelled armed Kurdish opposition groups based in the Region.
